First, I just want to say I find it humorous when people try to get upset during the holidays. Mad because everyone is out making snowmen, singing carols and embarrassing themselves at the the company Christmas party. Yes, I agree Christmas music gets old if they start playing it too early and eggnog is only good when its just a small glass, enough to get the taste. But it is the happiest time of the year, right? Think about it: gifts, old friends, family, holiday parties, good food and all the other nostalgic moments from your past. Then, my personal favorite is snow and the magic it brings when it covers everything in pure white soft curves.

Anyways, I wanted to share a photo of my friend Steve reppin’ our new “S” logo sticker.

Originally from Michigan, Steve is now living out in Colorado doing his thing and living the dream of unlimited snowboarding access to that little mountain range called The Rockies.

Counting down to the mitten,

Straight from the other side of the globe, a college friend of mine sent over some photos of his adventures while living in Morocco. Kristian has been living overseas working for the Peace Corps. as a Small Business Development Volunteer.

Paired with his adventures are always great photos to share. We we’re lucky enough to sell our first product the “Declare” KIT to Kristian and he sent these photos of trip to Tangier in return.

Kristian describes the setting:

“These were all taken in Tangier which is a crazy port town just south of Spain where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean in the Straits of Gibraltar. The town itself is an insane mix of culture and history– truly an international town where Europe meets Africa. Surprisingly enough, the town is also rich in American history as well. Morocco was the first nation to recognize the sovereignty of the United States after our declaration of independence and as a result the first property acquired abroad by the US was the American Legation in Tangier (see pictures and link). Tangier was also a favorite stomping ground and home to many of the famous American beat poets like Jack Kerouac, Allen Ginsberg, William Burroughs, and Paul Bowles. Included in the pictures is one of a cafe where they all used to hang out and write.”

Thanks for the photos Kristian, Michigan awaits your return!
