Saturday night started with family and friends gathering for my little brothers college baseball game which was televised on the Major League Baseball channel. Unfortunately we didn’t have the MLB channel at my parents house so we had to travel to Buffalo Wind Wings to watch the game. Justin and Spencer two of my brothers friends made it out for some wings and refreshments.
We hurried home after the game to a 50th birthday party for my old man.
Always have to have classic packaging for my gifts…
Happy Birthday Dad!

This is the part where I wish I was still in college and had a week to be a young and irresponsible student. My sister is headed out west with her new board to hit the slopes. Is anyone doing anything extra exciting for their spring break?
I’ll be here.
William is in town this week to do some business and check out the west coast. Photos to follow.

“A new program in Michigan, which has suffered staggering job losses related to the auto industry, seeks to solve this conundrum. The program is training people to work in the film industry, which is experiencing a huge growth spurt in response to the state’s incentives to companies making films in Michigan.”
In light of times changing for the good Michigan has plenty of incentives to attract Hollywood to come film within the state. More than likely one of your recent favorites was filmed in the mitten.
I caught a show of Gran Torino a few weeks ago and it def. hit home in more ways then one. My dad and I (huge movie buffs) are always saying “that’s not real” and “that would never happen” when it comes to movies with completely unrealistic plots. You know… when the guy gets shot 8 times then drives off a cliff and swims away into the sunset? no? Well, when it comes to my review of Gran Torino, I will say this is the most “real movie” I’ve seen in awhile, almost typical but still intriguing.
The plot and the entire movie was based and filmed in these Michigan locations: Detroit, Grand Rapids, Grosse Pointe Park, Grosse Pointe, Highland Park, Royal Oak and Warren.
