The city is know for its amazing food and the Marketplace is one of many destinations for lunch. Kyle took a break from the 9-5 to meet up with me for a quick bite at the San Francisco Fish Company.
The best salmon pesto sandwich I’ve ever had and Kyle agreed.
Soon after we parted ways. I headed continued to explore along the water and Kyle headed back into the city.

My first day in California was an adventurous one. I started off with a map provided by Kyle.
I have always been directionally challenged but I managed to find my way to the financial district for lunch with my friend Melissa. Notice the small “hill” down the street in the background.
After lunch I headed for the direction of the pier to see if I could catch a ferry to Alcatraz Island. Unfortunately I got lost in the process and ended up in Chinatown.
Eventually I made it to Pier 33 but I missed the last ferry over.
